William A. Pike

William Pike is a Partner of Atlantic Financial Advisory Partners with 20 years of experience in crisis management, restructuring and financial advisory services. Bill has expertise in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, technology, and transportation. In addition to his work in complex restructuring cases, Bill has substantial experience in cross-border restructuring matters. He also is highly skilled in financial investigations and business valuation, which he applies extensively in advising clients regarding transactional and restructuring matters.

Prior to forming Atlantic Financial Advisory Partners, Bill was a managing director for the U.S. practice of Kroll Talbot Hughes. Prior to joining Kroll, he was a member of KPMG’s Corporate Recovery practice, and began his restructuring career at Arthur Andersen. While at Arthur Andersen, Bill qualified as a certified public accountant.

Representative Professional Experience

  • Corporate Restructuring. Financial advisor to a £1 billion UK electrical retailer’s holding company and to a related insurance company based in Curaçao. Responsible for lending and oversight of operational restructuring matters.
  • Corporate Restructuring. Financial advisor to a £500 million UK-based video game retailer’s holding company. Responsible for lending and oversight of operational restructuring matters.
  • Interim Management. Chief Operating Officer of two Jersey-based infrastructure investment funds through wind-up, responsible for supervising a team of portfolio managers, overseeing the operations of the investment assets, assisting the managing director in managing the process to dispose of the investments.
  • Corporate Restructuring. Financial advisor and forensic accountant to the United States Marshals Service in Kroll’s role as the court-appointed Receiver in the $500 million Bayou hedge fund matter.
  • Interim Management. Interim Chief Financial Officer of a legal consulting firm, responsible for managing all aspects of the finance and accounting function, including the financial reporting for inclusion in the publicly-traded parent company’s financial statements.
  • Corporate Restructuring. Financial advisor to the Chief Restructuring Officer of the debtor in possession in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings of Pope & Talbot, a NYSE listed producer of lumber and pulp products with operations in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Financial Restructuring. Financial advisor to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors with respect to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring of The Fleming Companies, a $15 billion food distributor.
  • Financial Due Diligence. Financial advisor to an acquirer regarding a proposed acquisition, providing analysis of the target’s “quality of earnings”, an evaluation of the target’s projected financial performance, and assessment of the target’s management and internal controls.
